Visitation
Visiting NJDOC Facilities: Rules, Dress Code and Schedules (New Jersey)
NJDOC's main visiting page, stating that all visits are by appointment only and must be scheduled with the facility 48 hours in advance, and that all persons including minors must be on the incarcerated person's approved visit list. It lists acceptable photo ID, a detailed dress code covering prohibited garments, colours and footwear, and prohibited conduct that can end a visit or result in a ban. Each of the nine facilities has its own section with a scheduling phone number staffed Monday through Thursday, street address, locker costs and a full table of visiting sessions including registration windows. The page also explains the Primary Caretaker Parent Visit Program under the Dignity for Incarcerated Primary Caretaker Parents Act, which allows visits six days a week for up to three hours a day with unlimited approved minors and three approved adults, plus rules for bedside visits, special visits and attorney visits.
