Visitation

Visiting Goose Creek Correctional Center (Alaska DOC)

This Alaska DOC page gives the visiting schedule and policies for Goose Creek Correctional Center, the state's largest prison, near Wasilla. General population units have six visit sessions daily, Monday to Sunday, running from 8:30 am to 7:30 pm, while segregation units have evening sessions on set days and video visitation runs 9:00 am to 7:30 pm daily. Visits are first come, first served with no reservations, and visitors must arrive at least thirty minutes before the session. Inmates in administrative segregation get one contact visit per week, which must be booked 24 hours ahead with the visitation officers. The page also provides detailed driving directions, warns that GPS using the physical address can route drivers 40 miles out of the way, and links to the visitor handbook, adult and minor visitor applications and the facility's mail guidelines.
