Visitation
Visiting an Incarcerated Person (Connecticut DOC)
Connecticut DOC's visiting page sets out the five steps from locating someone to arriving at the facility, plus the rules for video visits. No more than two visitors are allowed per visit including children, visits are 30 minutes long until further notice, and there are no visits on state-observed holidays. Visitors must arrive at least 15 minutes early, show valid photo identification, and leave cell phones and electronic devices outside; attire must be reasonably modest under Administrative Directive 10.6. For authorised contact visits a brief embrace and kiss are permitted at the start and end, and all non-contact visits are recorded. Video visits run through Microsoft Teams, are free of charge, require a valid email address, and allow up to three authorised adult visitors, with youth in the household not counted toward that limit. Facility-specific schedules are linked for each institution.
