Send a Care Package (Iowa DOC)

Iowa Department of Corrections page explaining that, for safety and security reasons, food and other items may only be sent through the offender care package program, which operates only during the holidays. Holiday Gift Packages are ordered through the Iowa Prison Industries Central Canteen at canteen.iaprisonind.com, with orders accepted from November 1 at 8:00am through November 30 at 4:30pm and delivery tentatively between December 19 and December 23. Institutions may limit how many gift packages an offender receives. At other times of the year the page directs families to deposit funds into the offender's account so they can buy their own items through the Canteen.
