Receiving Phone Calls and Sending Voicemails (Oregon DOC)

Oregon Department of Corrections page explaining how to receive calls from someone in an Oregon prison. Phone services at all Oregon DOC facilities are provided by ICSolutions, and before anyone can receive calls their phone number must be validated through ICSolutions by creating a free account; DOC staff cannot validate numbers, and validation is required for both phone calls and video visits. Calls are limited to 30 minutes and all calls are monitored and recorded. The page also explains how friends and family can send a voicemail using an ICSolutions prepaid account by calling a dedicated line and entering a PIN and the adult in custody's state ID number, at a cost of $0.50 per message and a length of up to 60 seconds. A section on call delivery problems explains that carrier anti-spam tools sometimes block legitimate calls and advises saving the facility's calling number in your contacts.
