Grievance & Complaints
PREA Reporting and Resources (Idaho Dept. of Correction)
The Idaho Department of Correction PREA page states the agency has had a zero-tolerance policy for sexual abuse since 2004 and that all sexual abuse reports are investigated, with potentially criminal incidents referred to law enforcement. Inside facilities, residents may tell any staff member, submit a written report such as a concern form, call the PREA hotline and record a report, or send a letter to the Idaho Sheriffs' Association as confidential mail while asking to remain anonymous. From the community, family and friends may email victimservices@idoc.idaho.gov or call the Helpline at 1-800-361-6286, which are checked during normal business hours; for an immediate response the page says to call the facility directly. The PREA coordinator can be reached at 208-605-4772. The page notes concern forms and grievances may also be used for reporting, links the full PREA Policy, and publishes PREA annual reports from 2017 onward plus facility audit reports.
