Phone Calls FAQ (Rhode Island DOC)

RIDOC's telephone FAQ summarises the inmate phone policy at the Adult Correctional Institutions. Inmates cannot receive incoming calls but may place collect or prepaid calls through Securus, where families set up accounts and prepay minutes. All calls except attorney calls are limited to twenty minutes, and inmates may keep up to ten social numbers and five attorney numbers on their calling list. Every call except those to attorneys or law enforcement is recorded, and both parties are notified before the call connects; call forwarding or three-way calling will disconnect the call and may lead to discipline.
