Parole Board Hearing Input for Families and Victims (Ohio)
The Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction lists four ways to give the Ohio Parole Board input about a person's possible release. A website form lets anyone comment in support of or in opposition to release for consideration at the next scheduled hearing; those comments are not public records, are for comments only, and receive no reply. Regular correspondence seeking a response goes by mail to the Ohio Parole Board at PO Box 430, Columbus, Ohio 43216. Registered crime victims may request a video or telephone Victim Conference Day with a Parole Board member or representative within 60 days of the next scheduled hearing through the Office of Victim Services. Separately, family or other interested parties who want to speak in support of release may request an Incarcerated Person Conference Day video or telephone conference within 60 days of the hearing by calling the Ohio Parole Board. All correspondence must identify the person by their assigned institution number, found through Offender Search.
