Missouri DOC page on telephone contact. Offenders cannot receive telephone calls but may place outgoing calls unless they are on restricted status, with limited access in segregation units. Facility phones are programmed to process collect, debit and prepaid calls through Securus, and offender tablets also carry a Securus phone application. Offenders must use a personal identification number to place a call, and may buy debit minutes in the canteen or at a kiosk, while families can fund calls in advance to a specific bill-to number using Advance Connect. All offender phone calls are monitored, and a recorded message plays throughout the conversation identifying the call as originating from a correctional facility. Toll-free and three-way calls may result in discipline. People receiving unwanted calls can follow the phone prompts to block future calls or contact the institution so the offender can be identified by PIN and directed to stop.
