Offender Banking Services: Sending Money (Nevada DOC)

Nevada Department of Corrections offender banking page setting out the standard ways to send money: a Lockbox Deposit Coupon accompanied by a cashier's check or money order, or an Access Corrections deposit by MasterCard or Visa online or by calling Access Corrections. Coupons must either be printed from the NDOC site or obtained from the offender, who is responsible for sending them to people who want to deposit. Because of increased counterfeit activity, funds from all money orders and cashier's checks received directly by NDOC are made available to the offender fourteen calendar days from receipt. The page also notes that money received may be subject to deductions authorised by Nevada Revised Statutes and warns that the department never requires payment of fees for any type of release.
