Mail & Packages (NY DOCCS)

Official New York DOCCS page on sending mail and packages to incarcerated people. Covers addressing with the Department Identification Number, inspection of incoming mail, the five-page limit on printed or photocopied material, prohibited enclosures including nude photographs, Polaroid photos and postage stamps, media review delays, and the rule that packages must come directly from vendors rather than being brought to a visit.
