Inmate Telephone Frequently Asked Questions (Kansas DOC)

Kansas DOC page on telephone access. Inmates may place collect or prepaid calls but cannot receive calls. Each inmate may maintain a telephone list of up to twenty numbers and may add or delete numbers only at their 120-day review; every new number must be verified and activated first, and the inmate must submit the area code and number, the full name and address of the person to be called, and their relationship. Friends and family set up prepaid accounts with the contracted provider ICS Corrections at 1-888-506-8407 or online at no cost, and calls to cell phones require a prepaid account. All calls except attorney calls may be monitored, and chain dialing, three-way calling and call forwarding are prohibited. Former KDOC employees, volunteers and contract workers cannot be added for two years. Cites IMPP 10-111.
