Visitation

Incarcerated Individual Visitation Services (Maryland DPSCS)

Maryland DPSCS social visitation rules. An incarcerated individual must serve a minimum of 30 days before qualifying for visitation. Visitors must be on the approved visitor list, must not be a fugitive or have open warrants, must not be under Division of Parole and Probation supervision or on home detention, and must not be under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Visitors 16 or older must present valid state-issued photo identification; those 19 and older must be on the approved list, while visitors 18 or younger must be immediate family to the incarcerated individual or the adult visitor. The page sets out the visitor code of conduct, including keeping hands in plain sight on the table, no passing of items or children, and no return to the visit room after using the restroom, plus a detailed dress code. It also covers virtual visitation through Microsoft Teams after filing the DPSCS Video Visitation Form, and contraband penalties under Criminal Law Article sections 9-410 and 9-412 through 9-417.
