Incarcerated Individual Phone Services (Maryland DPSCS)

Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services page on paying for calls from someone in state custody. ConnectNetwork is the department's authorised deposit and account management portal and creates all phone accounts; DPSCS itself does not set them up, and account problems go to ConnectNetwork at (877) 650-4249. Two services are used. An AdvancePay account is a prepaid collect calling service tied to your own phone number, supports multiple accounts for people in different facilities, offers low-balance text alerts and auto-reload, allows a single-call option, and is refundable if the person is released. PIN Debit accounts let the incarcerated person pay for their own calls to any number the facility allows, can be funded by family or from the commissary account, and unused funds are refunded at release but cannot be used for anything other than calls.
