Health Services Contract Oversight (Idaho DOC)
The Idaho Department of Correction Health Services page identifies who actually delivers and who monitors medical care in Idaho prisons. Direct medical care to incarcerated people is provided by a contract medical provider, Centurion. IDOC itself employs five registered nurses whose job is monitoring and auditing the healthcare services contract. Contract compliance is measured against National Commission on Correctional Health Care standards and the terms of the healthcare contract itself. This is the page to cite when identifying the responsible provider or the state's oversight mechanism for a care complaint.
