28 CFR Part 542 – BOP Administrative Remedy Program (National)

The official, current text of the federal regulation governing the Bureau of Prisons Administrative Remedy Program, through which an inmate may seek formal review of any issue relating to their own confinement. The regulation covers all people in BOP institutions and BOP-responsible community corrections centers, and sets out responsibilities at the institution, regional, and Central Office levels, with referral rules for tort claims and other statutorily mandated procedures.
